Core Properties of Graphite Rods
1. High Temperature Resistance: Withstands 1600–3000℃ for extended periods in non-oxidizing atmospheres; strength increases rather than decreases at high temperatures, with no softening or deformation.
2. High Electrical Conductivity: Resistivity 8–15 μΩ·m; conductivity close to that of metals, 4 times that of stainless steel and 2 times that of carbon steel.
3. High Thermal Conductivity: Thermal conductivity 100–165 W/(m·K), heat dissipation efficiency far exceeding that of ordinary steel.
4. Chemical Stability: Resistant to acid, alkali, and organic solvent corrosion; reacts only with strong oxidizing acids (high-temperature concentrated sulfuric acid).
5. Self-Lubricating: Layered crystalline structure; coefficient of friction 0.04–0.1; wear-resistant and stable under oil-free lubrication conditions.
6. Easy Machining: Can be cut, drilled, milled, and turned to produce precise dimensions and irregular shapes. 7. Low thermal expansion: linear expansion coefficient 1.0–2.5×10??/℃, strong thermal shock resistance, and not prone to cracking under sudden temperature changes.
